Poppy Murray, Founder of BE LADS, is an experienced and engaging keynote speaker and trainer specializing in violence against women and girls (VAWG), sexual assault and harassment, and personal and public safety. Drawing on her professional and academic background in journalism and law, Poppy addresses complex and sensitive topics with clarity and sensitivity. As Flare’s VAWG Advisor, she leverages her expertise to guide the development of impactful safety features and educational initiatives, ensuring Flare’s commitment to user safety and empowerment.

In March 2021, Poppy founded the BE LADS Campaign in response to the murder of Sarah Everard. The campaign focuses on the role men and boys can play in helping women and girls feel safer. BE LADS has gained international momentum, and Poppy’s inspiring message has resonated widely. She has delivered training to major corporations and charitable organizations, including Tesco Mobile, WSP, Butterfield Bank, and the Chelsea FC Foundation. Her accomplishments include being a 2024 UN Women UK Delegate and the creator of the Guernsey Violence Against Women and Girls Symposium, showcasing her dedication and impact in the field.
